Mrs. Fowler was born on July 21, 1931 to her parents, the late Charles Franklin Alexander, Sr., and the late Lemma Christine Wilson Alexander. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold J. Fowler and her brother, Charles Franklin Alexander, Jr. of Woodstock, GA.
Mrs. Fowler grew up in a small community in Rome, GA. known as Tubize / Celanese Mill Village. She often spoke fondly of the many memories she had growing up there.
She graduated from Girls High School in Rome, GA. On July 25th, 1948, she married her high school sweetheart, Harold J. Fowler. They were married for 72 years and had two children, Greg and Pam.
Mrs. Fowler went to work for Southern Bell in 1954 as a switchboard operator in Rome, GA. She worked for AT&T and in 1984 retired from Alcatel Lucent in Atlanta. After she retired from the telephone company she got her real estate license and began working in the Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia area. She was a member of First Baptist Acworth for many years. She is survived by her two children, Greg (Carol) Fowler, Pam (Kenny) Bonner; grandchildren, Heath (Elysia) Bonner, Kimberly (Michael) Clendenin, Harrison Fowler and Christopher Fowler; great-grandchildren, Averi and Madelynn Bonner, Ella and Alivia Clendenin.
Mrs. Fowler was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.
