Kenneth Andrew Fowler, age 79, of Villa Rica, Georgia, formerly of Kennesaw, passed away on Tuesday May 5, 2020. Kenneth was born September 26, 1940 in Canton, Georgia to the late Homer and Florence Fowler.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Juanita Fowler; daughter Sheri Fowler of Kennesaw; daughter Tamara Hurst of Acworth; daughter and son-in-law Karen and Jeff Carlyle of Bethlehem; grandson Austin Hurst and grandson Eli Hurst.
Kenneth was a 1958 graduate of Cherokee High School and attended Southern Business College where he met his wife and got married May 27, 1960. He was a member of Shiloh Hills Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.
After 35 years of faithful service, Kenneth retired from Lockheed Martin as a machine inspector in 1997. Kenneth was an avid sports fan who always cheered for the Atlanta Braves (including personally witnessing Hank Aaron hit his 715th homerun), Atlanta Falcons (where he was a former season ticket holder), and the Georgia Bulldogs (where he was in attendance for the National Championship game in 1980). Kenneth lived a full and adventurous life with his wife traveling to every state in the continental United States (including Alaska) and was a former square dancer. In his younger years, he enjoyed coaching his daughters’ softball teams as well as hunting, fishing, and hiking. Later in life, he enjoyed working puzzle books, keeping up with friends and family on Facebook, listening to country music, and spending time with his grandsons.
Kenneth had an infectious laugh and never met a stranger. He will be missed greatly by all his friends and family.
