Janet spent most of her younger years in Chicago where she and her husband, Edward Rebek, raised their children and built a beautiful life together. In the late eighties the two made their way to Georgia to be close to their children. Janet was a parishioner of the St. Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed embroidering, playing cards, and watching TV. Her most prized possession were her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; Janet loved her family dearly.
Janet is survived by her three children, Mary Robinette, husband Randy, of Dallas, GA., Edward Rebek Jr., wife Jo Anne, of Fenville, MI., and Linda Clark, husband Austin, of Courtland, Illinois; two siblings, Carl Canham and Barbara Amiot; eight grandchildren, Rachel, Cari, Linzy, Skyler, Arielle, Alex, Joshua, and Lauren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends also survive.
A funeral mass to honor the life of Mrs. Janet Rose Rebek will be held at eleven o’clock in the morning on Friday, June 1, 2018 at St. Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church in Kennesaw, GA. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
A visitation with the family will take place from six o’clock in the afternoon until eight on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw.
