Janet Cecilia Chamberlin

Janet C. Chamberlin, 81, of Kennesaw, passed away at 1:07 am, July 16, 2012 peacefully at her home after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born on November 18, 1930 in Mishawaka, IN to Mike and Jamie Barrett who both have preceded her in death. Mrs. Chamberlin was also preceded in death by a son, Pete (Traci) Chamberlin in 2009 and a son in law, David (Jamie) Pate in 2011. Janet married Kenneth W. Chamberlin on October 7, 1950 in Mishawaka, IN. They have lived in the Kennesaw area for the past 30 years. Janet was a very active member and head of the Altar Society for St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Kennesaw for many years. She loved the Lord and the work she did for all. Janet was a beloved wife and loving mother of seven children. She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Kenny; six children, Michael Chamberlin of Richmond, IN, Teresa Holm of Cumming, GA, Julie (Jim) Kimberly of Acworth, GA, Art (Laura) Chamberlin of Acworth, GA, Becky (Bo) Ryles of Bogart, GA and Jamie Pate of Locust Grove, GA; sister, Diane (Jim) Plunkett of South Bend, IN; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, and daughter in law Traci Chamberlin of Canton, GA. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, July 20, 2012, 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 1618 Ben King Rd, NW Kennesaw, GA 30144. Burial will follow at Pineridge Memorial Park in Kennesaw. Flowers welcomed and memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. 96011 Washington, DC 20090-6011 or alz.org.
