James Matthew (Butch) Jackson, age 80, of Kennesaw, Georgia passed away on Saturday February 16, 2019. James was born February 19, 1938. He was a devoted husband to his wife Ruby for 35 years, a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. James was funny, caring, loving and smart, he enjoyed going to watch his grandchildren play sports. James was a inventor, and loved to build things and his ford truck. He like to travel and was Baptist in faith. James will be loved and by all that knew him.
James is survived by their wife, Ruby Jackson; daughters, Pat Jackson Sharp (David), Shirley McEntire(Charlie), Irene O'Neal (David), Pam Hedelsky (Bob), Yvette O'Brien (Greg), sons, Lewis Sumner ( Mary Sue), Mick Sumner (Angie) brother, Wayne Jackson (Irene), sisters, Peggy Baggett, Connie Forbes, Christine Rose, twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents Rufus and Evelyn Jackson.
Visitation for James will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday, February 21, 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Thursday, February 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM, Winkenhofer Chapel, burial will follow Thursday, at Pine Ridge Memorial Park, 2950 Cobb Parkway North, Kennesaw, Georgia 31052.
