George "Mike" Michael Kangelos

George Michael “Mike” Kangelos, 66, of Acworth, GA passed away suddenly at his home on Friday, October 11, 2024. A Celebration of Life service will be held in his honor on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, GA. With Pastor Stephen Olds officiating. A visitation for family and friends to gather will take place one hour before the service begins.

Mike was born Sunday, May 25, 1958 in Orlando, FL to George W. & Elizabeth Kangelos. After graduating from high school he took some college courses, but ultimately decided on a career in floor covering. Mike spent over 40 years running his own floor covering business. He was a master at his craft and was highly respected in the area for the work he did. In his spare time, Mike loved spending time out in nature, he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed researching history, especially anything to do with the civil war, he could often be found reading books on the subject. Most of all, Mike loved his family and enjoyed time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his son, George Michael Kangelos, Jr.; daughters, Michale Kangelos Pena & husband Manny, and Kaley Elizabeth Kangelos; sister, Cheryl Kangelos Dunnam; granddaughters, Breann Winkles and Aubrey Wilkinson; grandson, Elwin Erickson Kangelos. He was preceded in death by his parents, George W. & Elizabeth Kangelos; brother, Gerald Wayne Kangelos, nephew, Scott Dunnam and granddaughter, Kennedy Kangelos.

Mikes quiet and gentle nature will be forever missed.
