Frances Thompson, age 93 of Kennesaw passed on June 09, 2013. A memorial service will be held 1pm Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home. Frances has been a lifelong member of Kennesaw First Baptist Church and retired from the Kennesaw Post Office, where she knew everyone on her route. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph C. Thompson Sr.; brothers, Buddy Leonard, Harold Leonard, Wayne Leonard; sisters, Doris McDaniel, Patsy Pinion. She is survived by her son, Butch and wife Marsha Thompson; daughter, Linda and husband Dr. John Carter; sister, Wilma Nichols; 5 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren, and her best friend for 87 years, Helen Odom. The family will receive friends Monday, June 10, 2013 from 5pm until 8pm at the funeral home.
