Mrs. Smith was born on March 21, 1930 in Newport, Kentucky to the late Dell and Virgie Torman Neeley.
Mrs. Smith was a longtime Georgia resident retiring from Lockheed as an Electrical Assembler. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. In her spare time she loved to work in her flower garden and enjoyed sewing, crafting and square dancing. For anyone that knew her they knew that she loved anything purple. Those who knew her will cherish her memories.
Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by husband, Carl Smith of 25 years, her son, Russell Pauley, her first husband Dewey Pauley, sisters Iva Kenneway, Margaret Flowers and Deloris Hudson, brothers Frank Neeley, Ivan Neeley and Delbert Neeley.
Survivors include her daughter Patsy Whitlock (Lynn Sr.), son Robert Pauley (Kelly Latimer), daughter-in-law Cindy Pauley, step daughter Pamela Dopp, sister Verna Grove, grand children Charles Williams (Christi), Darlene Strickland, Susan Richmond (Brian), Lisa Giles (Jason), Tina Pauley (Brian Leath), Rachel Dinse (James), Alicia Nance (Sam), Michael Dopp (Mandy), 18 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Townsend Park Health and Rehab where she was a resident for 10 years.
A memorial service for Mrs. Smith will be held Saturday, November 7,11:00 a.m. at Pineridge Memorial Park inside the Chapel Mausoleum, 2950 North Cobb Pkwy, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152.
