Born May 5, 1947, in Madison County, Alabama to John D. Humphrey and Josephine Humphrey.
She graduated from Councill High School and went on to attend Lewis Business College in Detroit, MI. Doris had a distinguishing career, working for eleven years with Blue Cross Blue Shield in Kansas City Missouri, before returning to Huntsville, Alabama where she worked in Marketing. She later retired after a fulfilling career in the workforce.
Doris leaves to cherish her memories a daughter, Carmelita McRoy of Marietta, GA, four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three sisters and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
