Debbie was born Oct 6, 1956, in Chicago, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Patricia (Riordan) Morissette.
Debbie is survived by her husband Michael Gianakos, her daughter Barbara (Barbie) Watson and her son Robert Joseph (Joey) Gill. Also, her brother Edgar Morissette, sister Sharon Morissette, sister Mary (Bill) East and her brother Daniel Morissette.
Debbie was the grandmother to Alexis Watson, Savanna Watson and Alex Watson. Debbie has 3 great grandchildren: Sidney, Serenity, and Alice.
Being with her kids was her life.
She loved her pet dogs. They were drawn to Debbie because she was soft spoken, could count on her behind the ear scratching and she was also in charge of the treat jar. Her dachshund Chloe was her loving companion and best friend.
Debbie was raised in Chicago Heights, IL where she attended St. Mark's Lutheran School and graduated from Bloom High School in 1974. After her graduation she enlisted in the U.S. Navy where she received training with computer operating systems while serving in Iceland. She married and became the mother of two loving children.
Her training and achievements brought her accomplishments in her career with long time employment at Duck Head Apparel in Winder, GA and with GF Health Products in Atlanta.
Debbie was a loving stepmother to Matthew Gianakos, Andrew Gianakos and Michelle Higdon.
Debbie was devoted to her faith and was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Marietta, GA.
Debbie was what is described as a “baseball nut” Anyone who knew Debbie, knew her love and loyalty to the Chicago Cubs.
She loved word puzzles in here idled time.
Debbie enjoyed watching and listening to the song birds that gathered around her home.
Visitation for family and friends will precede the funeral and will be held this Friday 3/31 from 11am at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home (2950 Cobb Parkway NW, Kennesaw). The Christian funeral for Debbie will be at 12pm, committal service at Kennesaw Memorial Park (1306 Whitlock Ave NW, Marietta) to follow.
