David Hinckley Milligan, loving father, husband, and a man of service passed away peacefully surrounded by family on the afternoon of July 29, 2023. Born to loving parents, Donald Sr. (surviving) and Jessie Milligan, on March 1, 1963. The third of six children, he was raised in Seattle, Washington before moving to Bountiful, Utah at the age of nine. Dave was a blessing to his family and a friend to all. He was a Christlike man of faith devoted to serving his church and community. Dave was always happy and quick to laugh. He was an incredible storyteller and a humble giant.
As a young man, Dave served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Later in life he served in various callings in the Church, touching countless lives through his leadership and attitude towards service projects. The Scouting program and disaster relief efforts were close to his heart. One of his favorite phrases was “Service Unites”. Dave often spoke about his time as a young man working at McDonalds. Frequently recounting life lessons learned, fond memories working with his siblings, and the foundation of hard work that he built during his time there. Dave then entered into the baby products industry managing Smith's Children Store in Midvale, Utah. In October of 2007, Dave made his final career move to Regal Lager, a distributor of baby products based out of Kennesaw, Georgia. Regal Lager was truly a second family for him. Bengt and Luanne Lager, and the rest of the team were incredibly supportive and loving towards Dave. He genuinely loved his work and was thrilled to be with them each day.
Dave was a loving husband and was loyal to his family. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Danean. Together they raised four children Benjamin (Jacquelyn), Daniel, Jacob, and Emma. He will be remembered as an incredible example, model dad, and a devoted, caring husband. He brought with him a gentle, loving, humorous and wise presence that will be missed. We love you Papa.
The Milligan family personally extends their love and gratitude to Regal Lager, Dr. Forehand and his staff, and Agape Hospice.
