Barbara was always a smiling ray of sunshine @ Walgreens.  My prayers are with the family ....

I've been going to church with Barbara almost as long as I can remember. Some of my earliest memories were sitting behind her and Amber in church, and when Levi and Jordan were coming as well, the weeks when there was no children's church Barbara would sit on the pew with the three of them and give them THE LOOK if they started getting rowdy ;-)  Later in life, she continued coming to our church even when only a handful of people still attended. "Faithful" is the word that comes to mind. She was always smiling, always kept a positive outlook, and hardly ever complained about anything - even when she had a lot to complain about! She always was complimenting me on something, either my dress or appearance or our singing. She was such an encourager and made sure to tell us what a great job we did on occasions when we sang "special" songs for church. She was a very hard worker and kept up crazy work schedules, and even though we knew it must have been difficult for her, especially during holidays, she rarely complained. Every Christmas, she would give everyone in church a gift, even when she didn't really have the money to do it. She thought my boyfriend Joseph was a great-looking guy and made sure to ask about him, and I was really touched when she was the only person besides my parents who thought to give Joseph a Christmas present last Christmas. I loved her very much and will miss her greatly.

I only met Miss Barbara three months ago, but she was an amazing woman. She trained me at Walgreens and I immediately knew I had an amazing and genuine friend. She cared deeply for others and helped anyone in need. She watched over all of us at Walgreens. She was one special lady. Eddie and Amber, I am truly sorry for your loss. Heaven has gained an angel. Amber, I never met you, but I feel as though I know you. Your mother was so proud of you. She beamed with pride each and every time she spoke of you and looked forward to your Skype sessions. May your special memories help you heel. My thoughts and prayers are with both of you. God Bless.

I remember her taking Amber and I to get ICEEs and go shopping. Even the last day of middle school she let Amber and I stay home as long as we did some chores. These are great childhood memories I will cherish all my life. She was always guiding us to be better people. She will be missed and may she rest in peace.

Amber, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother.  While I never had the pleasure of meeting her, I do know that she raised one awesome daughter, and that is all I need to know.  You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

There must have been a reason we rented a room in pcb last summer to see you & Eddie and spend as much time with you guys as we could, as who would ever know that would be the last time we saw you, We will always Cherish those  Memories That your Daughter helped set up. Barbara was a wonderful, caring neighbor, and will be missed and remembered by all who knew her love and light for God. She's not gone, only changed locations, and is awaiting all who will join her through her savior, Jesus Christ her Lord. John 3:16 & 17

I have so many memories of Barbara growing up. She was always hanging out with our family. We all rode to church together. Such a sweetheart!

I am going to miss you so much my dear sweet friend.  You have always been there for me and I don't know what I am going to do without you.
