Audrey May Otis Bothner

Audrey May Otis Bothner passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at her home in Metairie, Louisiana. Beloved wife of Lloyd Raymond Bothner for sixty-six years. Loving mother of Jeanene Bothner Moran (husband, William), Geralyn Bothner Bateman (husband, Micky), and Brian Raymond Bothner (wife, Stephanie). Grandmother of Lisa Moran Malbone (husband, Nelson), Keith Michael Moran (wife, Jacki), Scott Matthew Moran (wife Jennie), Michelle Bateman McKinnon (husband, Ryan), Brett Daniel Bateman (wife, Melissa), Emily Elizabeth Bothner, and Stephen Brian Bothner. Great-grandmother of Nelson Howard Malbone III, Nicholas Glenn Malbone, Gavin Thomas Malbone, Dylan Matthew Malbone, Alexander Thomas Hurst (wife, Leslie), Jaydin Hurst Plunk (husband, Jake), Baylee Lynn Moran, Gage Zachary Moran, Carter James Moran, Braeden Scott Moran, Sidney Antoine Gaudet V, and the late Kennedy Louise Moran and Zachary Michael Moran. Daughter of the late Albert Otis and Adeline Aycock Otis. Sister of the late Harold Otis and Albert Otis. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Audrey had a lifelong love of dance, so much so that when she met her beloved husband, he swept her off her feet as the best dancer she’d ever met. She spent much of her free time traveling around the United States with her husband, and was a devout Catholic throughout her entire life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, 6425 W. Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA 70003, on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Noon. Visitation with the family will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, 11316 River Rd., St. Rose, LA 70087. In lieu of flowers, masses can be offered or donations can be made to the COPD Foundation or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation in Audrey’s honor.
