Remembering Soe with much affection and admiration.  I attended his and Kelly's Burmese wedding and the one in this photo.  Miss his smile and sense of humor!  Happy memories of  the boat ride we took to benefit Journey's End and visiting his home on numerous happy occasions, including the birth of Zachary!

Kelly, I'm so sorry for your loss. Its been a few years, but I remember Soe to have been a very kind and easygoing man who also had a great sense of humor and was a phenomenal cook. It has been over a decade but seems like only yesterday that I was getting to know Soe a bit as you were dating, and the many days we all spent at Burmese events or the Bazaar. I'll never forget the tribute video that he made of you and shared at a small gathering late one winter night, and how striking it was for the love it conveyed. That's my most enduring memory of Soe. I was shocked to come across his obituary this afternoon. I wish you and Zachary and all of your family members all the love and support that the community can give. If there is anything I can do to support you, please reach out. Life has taken us on our different paths but you'll always be a friend.

Man you leave the world 🌎 so early remember when we used to ride bike 🏍around NY and PA you're one kind heart man remember you was once telling me you love to eat fish paste then you go cool out in your garage and your said what is that smell you and I park bike along Niagara river and laughed it of  Rest In Peace ✌brother we will see you again soon Ko Win

Kelly and Zachary, thinking of you and remembering Soe at so many events since I met you at the TR Site and joined your Trivia team: your weddings, Burmese and Babesville reception, going to Lime House for their pre-opening, attending Zachary's baby shower, visiting you when Zachary was born and having Soe serve us a delicious appetizer!  Meeting your family and attending celebrations at your house.  I really liked Soe; he was friendly and always made me feel welcome.  I admired his dedication to democracy in Myanmar and organizing rallies and support for same. I will miss him. May he rest in peace.  Please give my condolences to his parents also.  They were so hospitable; his Mom made sure I had something to eat at one of the celebrations I attended.  Please know I care and am sending love and light your way...always!  

I was blessed to have a couple solid hangs with Soe as well as sharing our penchant for using almost every part of a tomato. He was quick to call me cousin and I will always be grateful for the laughs we shared. Being able to see my Buffalo family is always a treat, but seeing their families grow and multiply is the most special. So much love and sympathy to you all. Here is a picture that I really love.

You always took care of me like a big brother, and I will cherish that the most. I sought after and respected your opinion. You are missed and you will be missed. RIP.



You always made me feel comfortable as an outsider, especially when Thain Gi and I first started dating.

I’ll never forget karaoke at parties, or 4th of July at Niagara Falls.

RIP bro.  I’ll never forget you.
