He was husband and best friend to Michele Costa and dog papa to Jo, as well as Claire, Edith and Harriet.
He also leaves behind his brother, Lawrence and his twin sister, Susan.
He had many jobs throughout his life but most fulfilling were his years as a professor in the School of Architecture at Alfred State. He loved teaching.
Roger always had an answer, a solution or a “fix-it”. He was a designer and inventor who could build just about anything. He could fly small planes, he could sing with the sweetest tenor voice. Has was an expert napper and small dog snuggler. He was a tree-hugging vegan and a real Do-it-Your-Selfer who designed and built his own family’s tiny home in the Elmwood Village. Roger’s super power was Curiosity and so he was constantly learning, learning.
Roger lived passionately and compassionately — always striving to live simply and lightly.
Lightly he goes.
We will "Raise a glass to Roger" in memorial on Thursday, January 4th from 12 noon - 2 pm at the Sportsmen's Tavern, 326 Amherst St., Buffalo, NY 14207
