Elaine Smith (nee Zagroba) of Buffalo, NY, Jan 26, 2023. Born on September 25, 1956 in Hartford, Connecticut. Elaine dedicated her life to her family and her career. She was fiercely proud and protective of both. Serving more than thirty years as a licenced Histology Technician at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elaine understood the integral role she played in patient care and recovery. She did her job with commitment and integrity. Family was always Elaine’s first priority. She loved and cared for us unequivocally. Her strength and character carried us. Elaine was the foundation of our house and home. An intensely private person, she preferred the background to the limelight. In our lives she was our brightest star. Rest in peace and thank you for sharing your journey with us. Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Kevin; her three children Brian (Kari), Colin and Sarah and her precious grandchildren Harlow and Benjamin. No prior Visitation.
