Roger Philip Laferriere

Roger went to heaven to be with his son Rene. He will be missed by his loving wife Lynda of 45 years, daughters Alisa and Alana (Jon) and the love of his life his little grandson Mattaeus. Roger grew up with 6 siblings. He was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He moved to Kelowna, BC in 1967 where he raised his own family. He was predeceased by his mother Leodina Laferriere & father Harvey Laferriere, his brothers Rene Laferriere, Ron Laferriere and John Laferriere “His best friends.” He is survived by his sisters Lorraine (Bruce) MacDonald and Joanne (Keith) Nicholls and his brother Denis (Dee) Laferriere and sister in law Diane Laferriere. He will be missed by aunts, uncles, cousins, niece & nephews. Roger loved to dance, hunt, fish, coach baseball, watch the news and always welcomed anyone who wanted to come over and sit down for a beer. He lived a full life and loved his family even the other adopted Rutland Kids he & Lynda took in. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so on Thursday, October 19th from 5:00-7:00 pm. at Valleyview Funeral Home, 165 Valleyview Road Kelowna. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 at 11:00 am at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church located at 750 Rutland Road North Kelowna, BC. Interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Garden Cemetery, 2850 Dry Valley Road, Kelowna.
