Michelle Dorothy-Ann Plasko

May 24, 1961- June 15, 2021

Michelle passed away peacefully surrounded by family after a 14 years long hard and courageous battle with cancer.

Michelle is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Neil, and her son Steven, her pride and joy. Mother, Lauris Kean, sister, Margaret (Rob) Lye, brothers, Brian (Lori) Amor and Russell (Carolyne) Amor. As well as many much loved aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces. Michelle was predeceased by her father, Arthur Amor in November 2010.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew her and especially by her immediate family near and far.

Michelle worked as an operator for BC Tel and Telus for 21 years, and later at Dargal online travel agency for 10 years. Michelle loved spending time with family and friends. She was always planning events, get-togethers, and vacations. Michelle spent many years volunteering with minor sports both locally and provincially. Lacrosse was her greatest love where she enjoyed the time spent with the athletes, parents, many of whom became longtime friends.

A special thank you to all of the wonderful staff at the Kelowna Cancer Agency. Especially Dr. Marianne Taylor, Nurse Practitioner Lisa Henczel, Dr. Janis Fisher, and Dr. Amy Kluftinger.

In lieu of a service, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family suggests a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Michelle.
