CLARKE: Marlene. It is with sad and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marlene Clarke. Mom died Nov. 3/2019 surrounded by her family at Kelowna General Hospital after a battle with heart disease. She was born October 24th 1939 and had just turned 80. Mom will be remembered for her quick smile, laughter and her ability to always see the lighter side of things. She will also be remembered for her tirelessly giving of her time and efforts in her volunteer work and the sharing of her faith. She was predeceased by her husband Vern, 2 sisters Pearl, Silvia and her brother Jim. She is survived and dearly loved by her 2 sisters Shirley (Ernie), Ellen, her 3 children Greg (Sharon), Melanie (Craig), Jason (Terra), 6 grandchildren Myles, Pembrooke (Curtis), Clark (Sam), Maclean (Chelsea), Taylor (Ryan), Jackson and her great granddaughter Coast. Mom was born on a farm in Saskatchewan, but moved to B.C. as a young girl. She spent her teenage years in Penticton, and raised her family in Cranbrook. She spent the remaining 23 years in Kelowna. She had so many good friends and family that will miss her dearly and cannot wait to see her smile and make them all laugh once again.
