Margaret Alexina Bigler

Born March 22, 1927 in Woodworth Municipality (Virden), Manitoba,passed away May 23, 2023 in Kelowna, BC at the age of 96 years. She is survived by her sons Ronald (Gay) Bigler, Richard Bigler and daughter Leslie Ann (Wayne) LaRochelle , daughter-in-law Terry Fraser; grandchildren Sean (Cindy) Bigler, Kimberly (Steve) Maurice, Jordie Bigler, Kelsey (Cody) Jackson, Renee (Sean) Baran and Jaclyn (Chris) Balavessov; great-grandchildren Jessie, Kali, Isabella M., Kane, Paeton, Lilia, Olivia, Natalia B. and Isabella B.; siblings Gordon Strachan, Beth MacHardy and Shirley Wishlove, sister-in-law Marie Strahan. Also survived by former daughter-in-law Cindy (Dieter) Hassel, many nieces and nephews and friends. Margaret is predeceased by her son Laurence Bigler in 2019; brothers Edwin (EJ) Strachan, Leslie Strachan in 1951 killed in action in Korea; sisters Isobel Costa and Francis Strachan; her parents William Strachan and Ina Penny, both who were born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. There will be a family celebration at a later date. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Hospice House for their caring and compassionate care given to Margaret.
