Catherine Slater Savage

January 26, 1925 – October 25, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of Catherine (Kay) Savage announce her passing on October 25, 2020 in Kelowna, BC. She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Garth, and her daughter, Jaqueline. Catherine is survived by four children: Kate (Jim), Chuck (Barb), Rachelle, and Jean (Doug). She also leaves to mourn seven grandchildren: Craig, Chris, Michael S., Karen, Michael E, Alicia, and Kara. As well as two great grandchildren: Caleb and Brayden.

Catherine was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother born in Medicine Hat, Alberta before moving to Calgary, Alberta and then British Columbia. She was very proud to have been a Veteran in the Canadian Women’s Army Corps (CWAC) which she served for three years. She was a kind and compassionate person that demonstrated her tenacity every day.

At Catherine’s request, there will be no service held.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Catherine may be made to the Central Okanagan Hospice Association, 200-1890 Cooper Road, Kelowna, BC V1Y 8B7
