Michael Alan Smolinski Jr., 35, of Justin, Texas, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on October 20th, 2022 in Fort Worth, Texas. Michael was born in Oak Lawn, Illinois to Dawn Smolinski and Mike Smolinski on November 10, 1986.
Michael managed a team at Backyard Buildings and More in Fort Worth, Texas since 2014. A proud, loving family man, he loved watching his two children, Michael III and Emlyn, play baseball and softball, and enjoyed hollering from the bleachers. He was overjoyed with the anticipated arrival of his son Logan. Known for his goofy antics, he could often be found dancing and singing with his family and friends. Michael loved BBQing, bowling at Dave & Buster’s, playing Call of Duty with his brothers, poker nights, and watching the Bears on Sunday.
Michael Alan Smolinski Jr., is survived by his partner Allison McCollum; former wife Leslie Jones; daughter Emlyn; son Michael III, and Logan, expected March 2023; grandfather Bob Shicotte and grandmother Loretta Shicotte; his father Mike Smolinski and mother Dawn Smolinski; four brothers Matthew, Chad, Kyle and Zachery, and sister Courtney; sisters-in law Kristina Pappas, Holly Smolinski, and Shelby Smolinski; nephews Matthew Jr., Cameron, Peyton, Haynes, and nieces Breanna, Aurora, and Vivianne; and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his great grandmother Minnie and grandmother Della.
A funeral service for Michael will be held Tuesday, November 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248.
