Bradley Steven Greene, 59, of Roanoke, Texas passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024 after a 10 year battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Valerie Greene (m. Bradley). Brad served as a United States Marine from 1984 to 2007, he retired as a Gunnery Sergeant while serving in the DFW area. Brad received a Bronze Star for his service during Operation Iraqi Freedom where he served in Iraq from June 2005 to February 2006. Brad was born in Gainesville, Florida to Hubert Greene and Paula Sweat (Tyre). He was the youngest of their 5 children. His brothers Mike Greene (sp. Sue Greene), Bill Greene, Andrew Greene (dec. 1996), and MGSgt. Wesley Greene (ret.) (sp. MGSgt Kelly Greene (ret.) ). Additionally, Brad had siblings from his step father Thomas Tyre, daughter Karmen Tyre and sons Mike Tyre. After his retirement from the Marine Corps, he served as a Service Manager for Crown Lift Trucks from 2007 to 2024. Brad’s happiest time was serving his country in the Marine Corps. He frequently said those were the best years of his life. He felt a strong bond with his Marine brothers and sisters and had a fierce love for his country. He felt honored and humbled when people approached him and thanked him for his service. He loved and was devoted to his wife and family. He was a true friend to all that knew him.
