Barrett Nelson Clifton

Barrett Nelson Clifton, age 63, passed away Friday December 16, 2022 in Dallas, Tx. Barrett was born on November 9, 1959 in Amarillo Tx to Bill and Barbara Clifton, he lived and grew up in Borger, Tx. Graduated High School from Childress High School. He raced motocross during high school years. After he graduated high school he worked for Dr. Pepper bottling co and Burlington northern railroad prior to going into the army where he received training in aviation mechanics. He served in Germany as a chinook helicopter mechanic. After the army Barrett received his an and p license and was awarded a job with American Airlines where he faithfully served for 25 years. Barrett grew up thriving in the outdoors, achieving the rank of Eagle Scout through the Boy Scouts of America, and received numerous bass fishing awards. Barrett loved fishing, camping, snow skiing, water skiing, traveling, boating, corvettes and first generation Camaros, where he spent his time with his family doing the things he enjoyed, living life. Barrett was a kind man who never knew a stranger and had a way of bringing a smile to everyone he came around, he was full of jokes, wisdom, and used his talents and time to help other people. There were countless children he took fishing and shared his love of the outdoors with, was a proud little league baseball coach and fixed everyone’s vehicles when they broke. Barrett was preceded in death by his grandparents Pete and Francis Clifton, Alfred and Ona Maude Nelson, father Bill Clifton, uncle Alton clifton. Survivors include his wife, Shelley, mother Barbara Sims; two sons, Joey and wife Brandi, and Stevie Clifton, his brother Craig and wife, Christina, one uncle Jim clifton and wife, Sue, aunt Carolyn, cousins Shari and Julie, Danny and Rhonda, 2 grand-children, Jaxsen and Emma Clifton, nephews Chase, Isaac, and Camdyn, his first wife and the mother of his sons, Hope clifton, extended family and friends.

A visitation for Barrett will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Keller's Old Town Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248. Celebration of Life: Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 10:30 AM, 220 Keller Parkway, Keller, TX 76248. Committal Service: Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at DFW National Cemetery.
