A Time to Be Born...Annette Brookens was born on April 20, 1948, in Trinidad, Tobago to Vernon and Dorothy Roberts.
A Time to Plant...Annette accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at an early age. She was educated in the Trinidad school system. Because of her love for people she journeyed to London, England to pursue a career in Nursing.
She planted many seeds in the lives of people through her life and work.
A Time to Love... In 1971 she was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Leon Brookens. They have two sons: Reynold and Jonathan. Her love for her family and friends was deep but her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a member of Gateway Church under the leadership of Pastor Robert Morris.
A Time to Mourn...Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon and Dorothy Roberts, her brother Michael Roberts; and sisters Hollis Lopez and Elisa Moreno.
A Time to Die...Annette fought a good fight, she finished her course, she kept the faith. Her faith was in God and she knew that " He had her." When she heard His voice whisper "Come Home," she answered and surrendered her soul to her Heavenly Father on Friday, December 18, 2020.
A Time to Cherish...She leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband for 49 years, Leon Brookens of Ft. Worth, Texas; Her sons; Reynold (Brittany) Brookens of Saginaw, Texas and Jonathan Jones of Denver, Co; Two sisters; Deana De Boissiere of Trinidad & Tobago, Josefina Marquez of Venezuela and host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
You went out of your way to be thoughtful,
you went out of your way to be nice,
you went out of your way to do favors,
and you did them without thinking twice,
so, this note come to say
That we are grateful for your love and considerate ways,
and to thank you for being special
It meant more than we could ever say!
We can rejoice because you died in Christ.
You left us your memory and a model of
Christian life.
