Tracy L. Ledoux

She was born in Keene, NH on September 8, 1970, the daughter of Carol J. (Gray) and Andrew C. Phippard. A lifelong resident of Keene, Tracy was a 1988 graduate of Keene High School.

Focusing on her educational requirements to work in the healthcare profession, Tracy graduated from the Sowerby Westwood Health Care Center Certified Nursing Assistant Course in 1989, and in 1996, from the Saint Joseph’s School of Practical Nursing. In 1997, Tracy received a certification from the Dartmouth Hitchcock Peritoneal Home Dialysis Training, and in 1999, she received her IV Certification from the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. In 2005, Tracy graduated from the New Hampshire Technical College with an Associate Degree in Applied Science with a focus in nursing. In 2007, she completed her certifications in PALS, ACLS, and as a BLS Instructor at the Cheshire Medical Center. Between 1988 and 2005, Tracy also attended Keene State College where she took several courses in special education, computer programming, business administration, psychology, biology and several administration courses.

During her career in nursing she touched the lives of many. She dedicated her life to her patients, caring for them and advocating for their healthcare and wellbeing. She cared for her patients like she did her family. She worked in various nursing homes at the beginning of her career, either per diem, or as a float charge Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) until she started her career at The Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth Hitchcock, Keene. There, Tracy was a Float LPN II which allowed her to work in various areas such as pediatrics, IM, oncology, surgery, cardiology, urology, ENT, rheumatology, pulmonology and phlebotomy, until she became a registered nurse, managing one of the busiest practices in the family practice teams, under Dr. Tremblay. She then became a Unit Manager at Westwood Nursing Home in Keene. Most recently she had been working as a nurse educator for Langdon Place in Keene. The one constant throughout her career is she loved what she did and she cared so deeply for her patients.

Tracy was on various committees such as a volunteer nurse interviewer for bone marrow drives, board member for the American Cancer Society’s “Relay for Life”, BLS instructor for Dartmouth Hitchcock, and was selected for Marketing / QI for Westwood Nursing Home and on the QI committee for McKerleys Healthcare Center. She received the Daughters of the American Revolution Award for Cheshire County “B”, the best award for attitude, appearance and accuracy. She also received the NH State Nursing Scholarship, and was awarded the highest monetary level for the nursing scholarship program at The Cheshire Medical Center. She was also selected for the Phi Theta Kappa Alpha Honors Society for NHCTC.

Her favorite pastimes were going to concerts with her daughter Ashley, going to the ocean, traveling, playing bingo, and helping her husband Jonny with the books for his cake business. She loved helping her friends and family, and was always taking care of everyone. She would do for others with no thought to herself.

She will be greatly missed by her husband of 24 years, Jonathan Ledoux, of Keene; her daughter, Ashley Ledoux, of Keene; her father, Andrew C. Phippard, of Keene; her sister, Carrie Tower and husband, Richard, of Marlboro, VT; her sister-in-law, Jennifer Robinson, of Keene; and her nephews, Zachary Robinson and Hunter Robinson.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 10:30AM in the Foley Funeral Home (www.foleyfuneralhome.com), 49 Court Street, Keene. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Main Street, Keene. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday evening from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Foley Funeral Home.
