His parents, Arthur S. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Ney) Sharron proudly welcomed their son into the world on March 2, 1956 in New Haven, Conn. Ron grew up in Hamden, Conn.
Ron resided in Colebrook, NH, Halifax, VT and Sullivan, NH, before settling in Marlow. It was his land and home in Marlow that brought him joy and inspired his tremendous pride. Working his land, being near his private pond, hunting and working in the woods doing forestry were what brought him joy and freedom. A relentless worker, Ron rarely sat still. When he did find time to relax he was found with a book-in-hand. A voracious reader with eclectic interests, he particularly enjoyed books on Buddhism.
A builder by nature, Ron owned and operated Ron Sharron Builders for many years. His greatest joy in life was his family and his many friends. Ron also enjoyed listening to and playing music, a hobby that made him many friends near and far. He especially loved New Orleans - a destination he frequented.
He will be greatly missed by many in the community, especially his son, Derek E. Sharron and his wife, Sayya, of Marlow; his love and partner, Barbara Paige of Marlow; his sister, Elizabeth Petrocelli of Los Angeles, CA; his two brothers, Arthur Sharron of Norwich, CT and Elliot Sharron of Bradenton, FL; several nieces and nephews; and his cat “Nit-Do”. He was predeceased by his eldest son, Seth Adam Sharron on July 28, 2010.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. Family and friends are welcome.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, donations may be made in Mr. Sharron’s memory to the New Hampshire Forest Society, 54 Portsmouth Street, Concord, NH 03301
