He was born in Keene, NH on December 20, 1928 the first of seven children to Charles and Marion (Chase) Pierce.
He grew up in Keene and attended Keene schools. Following his education, he served time with the US Army and was honorably discharged on May 8, 1953. Following his military service, he returned to Keene and was employed by the A.E. Henkel Manufacturing Company. He was employed by the Monadnock Cutlery Company in Keene as a second job.
He was a soldier at the Keene Salvation Army for more than seventy years.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.
He leaves behind Three sons; Robert Pierce, David Pierce, and Jamie Pierce; three granddaughters, Candy, Daisy, and Marion; one grandson Andy Pierce and his lifelong companion, Marion Pierce; two brothers, Raymond Pierce and Harold Pierce and a sister Marion Lovell. Several great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Two very close friends, Viola and Everett Long.
He was predeceased by three brothers; Richard Pierce, Donald Pierce and David Pierce, a daughter Sally Pierce and a grandson, David Pierce, Jr.
A graveside service with military honors was held at the Woodland Cemetery in Keene on Wednesday afternoon, August 22nd Pastor Matthew Worrell of the Grace Christian Fellowship officiated.
