Michael (Mike) Paul Decker was born in Ridgewood, NJ on April 18, 1952. He was the third and youngest child of Raymond and Fayette (Hummel) Decker. Mike was preceded in death by both parents and older brother Geoffrey Decker. He is survived by his sister Leslie Vaspol of Maywood, NJ, niece Kimberly (Vaspol) Jakubowski her husband Ed Jakubowski, Jr and his Great Neice and Nephew Brian and Elizabeth Jakubowski of Lolo, Montana as well as two nephew's Edward and Michael Vaspol.
Having majored in media and communications at Greenfield Community College, Mike spent his career in Broadcast Communications as an on-air announcer and General Manager working for various radio stations throughout New England and Virginia, most recently as the General Manager of WYRY in NH in charge of content, advertisement and marketing. After retiring from radio, he focused on his love of pets and cars, offering his broadcast talents as the color commentator at Monadnock Speedway for several years.
Mike's greatest love has always been the four-legged kind. Since his early days as a young adult, Mike has never been without at least one, if not several canine companions, always focusing on mixed breed rescue adoptions. Mike loved the outdoors and enjoyed boating, fishing and was talented as an amateur photographer.
