Lucas W. Buckley

He was born in Keene, NH, October 16, 1989, the son of Glenn R. and Dawn J. (Symancyk) Buckley.

A life long resident of Surry, Lucas attended Monadnock Regional High School in Swanzey, NH. He worked as a fourth generation welder, taught the family business by his father at Glenn Buckley Welding in Keene. He also spent time working with his grandfather, Robert Buckley.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1413 in Keene. He enjoyed fishing, rifle range shooting, horseshoes and ATV’s. Lucas was at his happiest when he was surrounded by his family. His devotion to his family was the foundation of his actions. He had a well known soft spot for dogs and children. Lucas will be clearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Dawn Buckley of Surry; his sister, Johanna Buckley of Broomfield, CO; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Sally Buckley of Keene; his maternal grandmother Arlene Symancyk of Easthampton, MA; his aunts, Gail Sullivan of Easthampton, MA, Diane King and her husband, Stephen of Hinsdale, Diane Buckley of Key West, FL; along with numerous cousins and close friends.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, March 08, 2013 from 1:00 to 3:00PM at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. A celebration of Lucas’ life will follow at 3:30PM at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1413, 115 Church Street, Keene.
