He was born February 20, 1957 in Keene, NH the son of Samuel and Leona (Hulslander) Croteau. He was a 1975 graduate of Monadnock Regional High School. For the past 10 years he had been working at Walmart in Keene.
On June 17, 1978 he married the love of his life: Kathy Ann Woodley who passed away earlier this year. Since the time that they met the couple were always together and shared in many wonderful memories together.
When it came to pulling off the best practical jokes or having just the right amount of humor for a situation, there was Larry right in the middle of all of it. Larry was a gifted woodworker and carpenter. He enjoyed working on old cars, as well and was able to fix just about anything.
When he wasn’t working, he was happy to spend time fishing or watching NASCAR. He also enjoyed being able to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristy Murphy and her husband Shannon of Swanzey; his son, Lawrence A. Croteau, “Larry”, Jr. of Fitzwilliam; grandchildren, Noah, Abram and Elijah; a sister, Patricia and and several nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is predeceased by his wife, his grandson: Asa M. Lounder; sister-in-law, Dawn Woodley a sister, Barbara and his brothers, Robert and Samuel.
Larry’s family will remember him and his wife Kathy in a memorial later this Spring. The date and location will be announced later.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kingsbury Cancer Center, 580 Court St. Keene, NH. 03431.
