He was born in Keene on May 16, 1958, son of Valmore and Phyllis (Fisk) LaCoste. He was a 1977 graduate of Keene High School where he played varsity football.
Upon graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served in the military police.
After leaving the service, he worked for the Hinsdale Police Dept. before beginning a long career in the food service industry. He owned the White Mountain Creamery in Keene, and later worked as a cook in a number of restaurants and long-term care facilities in New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Most recently he worked as a night manager at the Samaritan Inn, a shelter for the homeless in Westfield, MA.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Phyllis and Rich Nichols of Eustis, FL, his brother Randal and his wife Gerri of Walpole, NH, his brother David and his wife Patricia of Keene, and his nephew Shaun LaCoste of Walpole. His father Valmore and brother Michael died earlier.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 15th at 11:30 AM in the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, NH. Burial in St Joseph Cemetery, Keene, will be private. There are no public calling hours.
