George F. Dunton III

He was born in Fitzwilliam, December 15, 1950, the son of George F. and Phyllis V. (Beam) Dunton and had resided in Mountain View CA., San Francisco, and returned to the Monadnock region prior to moving to the town of Troy in 1985.

Mr. Dunton attended Monadnock Regional High School and graduated with a degree in horticulture from Foot Hill College in Las Altos California.

At the time when he was forced to leave the workforce, he had been employed with Arlington Paving. He had previously been employed at Millapore, DD Bean, People's Linen, Porto-Lite, Service Master and Drugg Paving.

As a native American, he was active in the American Indian Movement, and was a member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed attending Swamp Bat games, fishing, hunting, woodworking, and mechanics. In his earlier years, he fought in Golden Gloves in California.

Survivors include: his wife of twenty seven years, Brenda (Burgoyne) Dunton of Troy, his sons: George F. Dunton IV of Troy, Norman Murphy and his wife Gina of Ft. Hood TX., Christopher Dunton and his wife Ree of Manilla, Phillipines, and Christopher Dunton of Troy; two daughters: Leah Nubon and her wife Leauka of Bangkok Thailand; and Shauna Altamirano of Keene; two brothers: Kenneth Dunton and his wife Norma of Fitzwilliam and William Dunton and his wife Janet of Sullivan, one sister: Joyce Jacobs of VT., six grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his sister Paula Cook and nine grandchildren.

Services for Mr. Dunton will be private. There are no public calling hours.
