He was a Father, Friend, Auctioneer and Cabinetmaker.
He was born in the kitchen at the family home in Keene on January 12, 1938 the son of Fred and Flora Elfrieda (Schultz) Amadon.
He loved his family and friends. He was a life-long cabinetmaker and loved to work with wood. If you were looking for him you could find him at a local auction house, flea market or coffee shop. He loved all three.
He graduated from Keene High School Class of 1956 and later attended Plymouth State College. He served with the US Army 172nd Artillery and was stationed at Fort Sill and Fort Bragg. He worked at Plotkins Furniture Company for more than 20 years.
He was an Auctioneer since 1967. He loved the City of Keene, Swanzey Lake Camping Area, feeding his chipmunks, going to Texas and fishing in Florida.
He is survived by partner of 29 years Diane Hall, his children Heidi Clark and her husband Robert of Marlborough, Jill Amadon and her partner William Whitcomb of Swanzey and Dustin Amadon of Virginia, his step-sons Edward Hall and his wife Carrie of Texas, Eric Hall and his wife Misty of Swanzey.
His grandchildren: Jessica Provenchia of Westmoreland, Katie Provenchia of Swanzey, Courtney Davis and her husband Chris of Swanzey, SueEllen Provenchia of Marlborough, Sarah Provenchia of Salem, Trevor Clark of Marlborough, Phoebe Clark of Marlborough, Robert Clark Jr. of Troy, Amanda Amadon of Swanzey, Dillon Amadon of Swanzey, Tiffany Johnston of N.C. Anthony Landry of Texas, Summer Young and her husband David of Tennessee, Kaylee and Kendall Hall of Texas, Hayden and Carson Hall of Swanzey. 14 great-grandchildren and 1 on the way. His brother Ronald Amadon of Keene, his sisters Marlene Hunt of Swanzey and Judy Thompson of Keene; many nieces and nephews. His brother Kenneth and his parents died earlier.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene, on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow.
