Her parents, Alexander G. and Annie (Holman) Campbell welcomed their daughter into the world on May 29, 1940, in Keene, NH. Betty grew up in Keene, attending local schools.
Betty worked for many years at Markem Corporation in Keene, NH, and later with D’Alessio and Associates, Inc. in Keene.
She enjoyed camping and going to concerts on the common. County music and going to the country music festivals at Hunter Mountain brought her great joy. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and savoring delectable ice cream treats.
She is survived by her children, Deb Lagoy and her husband, Robert, of Longs, SC, Julie Chickering and her husband, Timothy, of Chesterfield, NH, Brian Buckley of Keene; her grandchildren, Jay Pollock of Swanzey, NH, Raymond Forbes of Chesterfield, Alaina Seavey of Swanzey, Kiah Blanchard of Keene; six great-grandchildren; three nieces; and a nephew. Her husband, Carl G. Buckley, whom she married on February 16, 1957, died on June 25, 2016. She was predeceased by a sister, Beverly A. Every on March 21, 2016.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 8, 2024 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at the Foley Funeral Home, 49 Court Street, Keene. A funeral service will begin at 12:00pm at the funeral home. Burial with committal prayers will follow the service in the Nye Hill Cemetery, Middletown Road, Roxbury, NH.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mrs. Buckley’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 15 Constitution Drive, Suite 1G, Bedford, NH 03110; or to the Staff Support Fund at the Maplewood Nursing Home, 201 River Road, Westmoreland, NH 03467.
