Michael was born the son of Roy and Gloria (Bohr) Hodge in Hot Springs, Arkansas on November, 16, 1943. He graduated from Benedictine High School in Detroit, class of 1961. Michael served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He raised his family in Lewiston before moving to metro Detroit. He operated an Ornamental Iron business in Detroit called Secure It Iron Works for many years.
Michael had a passion for helping people, especially family. He enjoyed western shows, and talking about politics and guns.
Michael is survived by his children Randy (Hollie) Hodge, and Roy (Kris) Hodge; grandchildren Hunter Hodge, Hannah Hodge, Eric Hodge, Doug Shea, and Bella Hodge; great-grandchild Kayden Hodge; siblings Marianne Domako, Shelia (Dick) Bennett, and David (Michelle) Hodge; and sister-in-law Cheryl Hodge. He was predeceased by his parents; daughter Becky Hodge; and his brother Jim Hodge.
A committal service with military honors will be on April 21st, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Great Lakes National Cemetery, located at 4200 Belford Rd in Holly, Michigan.
