She was born in Paint Borough, Pennsylvania on November 28, 1926. She married the late John Joseph Sevegney on September 2, 1950.
Lois had a career as a hairdresser and as a homemaker. She was a member of The Daughters of Isabell and had a passion for roller skating, knitting, and sewing.
Lois is predeceased by her parents Edith Mae (nee Weaver) and Edward William Johns; and her sisters Phyllis McFarland and Larue Felix.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Cantu; children John (Deborah) Sevegney Jr., Lawrence (Sandra) Sevegney, Deborah Sevegney, Kevin (Janice) Sevegney, David (Ilene) Sevegney, Helen (Robert) Rusaw, and Mary Sevegney; grandchildren John (Melissa) Sevegney III, Michael (Sherri) Sevegney, Elizabeth (Jess) VanDerMaas, Stacy Sevegney, Nanette Sevegney, Kimberly Sevegney, Curtis (Jocelyn) Sevegney, Samantha Sevegney, Anthony (Jessica) Stambersky, Robert (Ashley Sypula) Rusaw II, Randell (Britta) Rusaw, and Russell Rusaw. Lois is also survived by 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter.
A visitation for Lois will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 PM at Family Funeral Care in Keego Harbor, Michigan.
