Betty was born in North Dakota on April 10,1941 and loved spending time with her family in Maine. She eventually moved to Michigan where she earned her degree in education which she used to teach students across the country including Michigan, North Carolina, and Alabama.
She had a passion for world travel, playing cards, and spending time with her family.
Betty enjoyed the last ten years of her life married to her companion William Brandon.
She was survived by sons Jeff (Karen) and Brad Cox; grandchildren Jessica (Chris) Smith, Chelsea (Nick) Cox, Mallory (Tyler) Cox, Adrian, Jordan, Noah, and Lauryn Cox; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Walter, Asher and Jaxton; and brothers David, Don (Linda), John, and Jim (Linda) Baker.
The family plans to celebrate her life in her final resting place of South China, Maine in summer 2023.
