John was a 1996 Graduate of Scurry-Rosser High School, then moved on to go to college at Tarleton State University. He played football for the Texans and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. John loved his career as a Probation Officer for Kaufman County, and has many coworkers he considered close friends. John was always eager to donate bibles for children or anyone in need. He wanted others to have the opportunity to know and love Jesus like he did. John was a selfless, kind, and a quiet man who loved the Lord. John was always ready for a good debate or even a good laugh, and he had a great sense of humor. He always thought of others before himself and had a way of making them feel loved. John enjoyed the simple things in life like fishing, hunting, watching movies, going to gun shows, and collecting knives, and most of all he loved the time he spent with his family.
John is proceeded in death by his parents; James R. Dearth and Janet M. Lowe Dearth.
Those left with cherished memories are his siblings; Timothy Everhart, Charles Dearth and wife Diana, Jenniffer Rogers and husband Michael, James Dearth and wife Laurie, and Misti Bearden; a host of nieces and nephews that he loved dearly: Jessica Hardiesty and husband Matthew, Gary Davis III, Nicholas Rittinger, Zachary Rittinger, David Robbins, Aubrey Davis and wife Jacqueline, Kaitlyn Dearth, Nicholas Bearden, Alexander Dearth, Kendall Dearth, Sadie Davis, Coby Bearden, Dylan Rogers, Caleb Bearden, Kolton Dearth, Deacon Bearden, Jasey Bearden, Dustin Rogers, Hunter Rogers, and Denver Rogers; great nephew and niece; Elijah Hardiesty and Taylor Hardiesty along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of other beloved family and friends who will miss him greatly.
A celebration of life for John will be held Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Victory Church of Scurry, 7325 South, TX-34, Scurry, Texas 75158 immediately following will be a graveside service at Mount Olive Cemetery in Scurry, Texas.
