Wayne L. Moore

Wayne Leroy Moore was born October 7, 1928 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Robert and Opha Moore. The family moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1941. He graduated from Polytechnic High School. He went to Texas Wesleyan College and graduated in 1949. On April 8, 1950, he married Betty Drybread (Moore).

Wayne Moore was preceded in death by his wife of over 70 years, his parents, brother (Donald Gene Moore), and sister (Wilma Jo Humes). He is survived by his son Greg Moore and wife Benita of Livingston, Texas and his daughter Dana Moore and husband Bob Meyer of Katy, Texas; grandchildren Tiffany Inbody and husband David of College Station, Texas, Sara Meyer of Marksville, Louisiana. Great-grandchildren Daniel Inbody, Morgan Inbody, Matthew Inbody, Zane Dauzat, and Liam Dauzat.

Wayne was employed by Rowan Companies in 1965 which brought the family to Houston Texas in 1969. He retired the end of 1990.

Wayne Moore was a member of Second Baptist Church in Katy, Texas.

A visitation for Wayne will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas 77494. A funeral service will occur Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 2:00 PM, 23350 Kingsland Blvd, Katy, Texas 77494. A graveside service will occur Saturday, March 4, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
