Patty Mae Sabala

“Patti Mae” as she was known was a loving wife and grandmother to her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Well known for her flower gardens and plants. She was an active member of the Waters

Church in Katy Tx. Retired from Cy-Fair ISD where she worked in transportation for special needs children.

Patricia is preceded in death by parents Joseph and Iva Mae Newman of Hampton Virginia. Also by Siblings Joe, Charlie, and John Newman as well as sister Mary Jacqueline Watterton, and son Tommy Gurkins, all of Hampton Virginia.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years Abel Sabala Sr. of Katy Tx. Daughters Danielle Sabala, Deanna Eskew, Karen Greene. Son Scott Gurkins of York Pennsylvania. Brother Albert Newman of Fayetteville Pennsylvania. Sister Shirley Cleland of Houston Texas.

A memorial service will be held at Katy Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 1pm

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at U.T.M.B

in Galveston Tx for the best care possible in her final days and hours

before departing for her eternal home with our Lord and savior.
