She went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2021.
Jill is also survived by her loving sons, Scotty Lindsey (Chris) from New York and Tommy Lindsey (Yesenia) from Texas; Brother, John E. Brock (Kristi) from Texas; Sister, Bobbie Jean Gates (Greg) from Texas; Grandchildren: Estella Lindsey, Jennifer Salmeron (Lindsey), Kairy Salmeron (Lindsey);
and several nieces, and nephews.
During Jill’s school years, she attended five Elementary Schools three Jr. High Schools, and three High Schools. Because of her Dad’s job, they moved all around the country, living in California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, and back to Texas. In 1978 she married Scott Leroy Lindsey (Deceased) and they had two boys, Scotty in September of 1979, and Tommy in December of 1980.
Jill loved her boys very much!
Jill was a longtime employee at Landmark/Haliburton for thirty-one years, from 1989 – 2020. During that time, she became an example to others of a changed life when she came to know Jesus Christ as her personal savior.
Jill was a faithful member of Westside Church of the Nazarene in Katy, TX where she joyfully served on the Church Board, taught Sunday School, was always involved in Missions, started, led, and loved the Nursing Home Ministry for many years, and was a help in so many other areas. She loved Jesus, learning about Him, and reading her Bible. Jill was an encourager and shared her faith in Jesus.
She wanted friends, family, and strangers to know that God loves them, and He provided a way for them to have eternal life in Heaven through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ!
Jill enjoyed crafts of all different kinds. She also made beautiful jewelry. She used her talents to bless others with things that she made and loved doing crafts with the children at church and the nursing home.
Jill also loved her cats – Adam and Eve, as well as several outside cats!
Jill Ann Brock was a blessing to so many people and will be missed so very much!
A Life Celebration Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 12pm at Westside Church of the Nazarene (3434 N. Fry Road, Katy, Texas).
