Bertha Martin Duran

Bertha Martin Duran, 71, of Houston passed away February 26, 2022. She was born in McAllen, Texas on October 30, 1950 to Robert Martin and Arminda Olivarez Martin. She was married to Armando Duran for 53 years.

Bertha had a career in sales for 30 years for Van Leeuwen and Wilson. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, shopping, playing slot machines, and working in her rose garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Martin and Arminda Olivarez Martin and siblings Leah Carmen Childress, Robert Martin, Belia Rodriguez, Virginia O. Martin, Virgil Martin, and George Martin.

Left to cherish Bertha’s memory is her loving husband Armando Duran, son John Duran and wife Aldegunda Duran Perez, daughter Julissa Duran and granddaughter Soleil Rucker, daughter Francis Duran Garcia and husband Reynaldo Garcia and twin children Andres and Alondra, and son Armando Duran Jr and wife Ashlie.

A celebration of life for Bertha will be held Friday, March 4, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Katy Funeral Home, 23350 Kingsland Boulevard, Katy, Texas 77494.
