Bio: Barbara Jean Boxley was born March 20, 1955 to mother Bernice Boxley and father Sam Jones who both preceded her in death.
Barbara attended Grant High School in Portland, Oregon, and from there she went on to pursue her career as an accountant for the Internal Revenue Service. After a few years of working as an accountant, she decided to pursue her career in the State of Washington as a budget analyst for the Department of the Drug Enforcement Administration. After 30 plus years of service, she then retired.
Barbara was a loving wife to Walter L Sellers, Jr. They were married for over forty years. She was a mother to June Alice Powell and the grandmother to two granddaughters, Shantell Boxely and Brianna Powell.
Barbara enjoyed watching cartoons, collecting stuffed animals, pampering herself, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an excellent cook, a great listener, and most of all a loving woman. She was loved by everyone she came in contact with. Barbara Jean Sellers will forever be missed.
She leaves behind her cherished and most loving husband Walter Sellers Jr., her daughter June Powell (William Powell) and two granddaughters Shantell and Brianna. She also leaves behind her eldest brother Glen Hawkins, sister Carol Eastland, sister Sandra Boxley, one god-sister Kim Ross, and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her brother Floyd Boxley. We love you Nannie and we will all miss you so much.
