Born in Waco, Texas April 16, 1921, to Houston and Jovita Sepolio, he passed peacefully with his children (Tony, Nanette, and Cedric), daughter-in-law (Kim) and grandson (Eric) at his side. Devoted husband and father of three, grandfather of 8, great grandfather of 3, and a friend and mentor to countless others. He is survived by son Tony Sepolio Jr. and wife Kim of Conroe, daughter Nanette Zeig and husband Larry of Hearne, and son Cedric Sepolio of Katy; two brothers Bernard Sepolio of Houston and Rudolph Sepolio of Hamilton; grandchildren Michell Zeig and husband Jon of Ennis, Michael Zeig and children (Damion, Andrew, and Sadie Clarice) of Copperas Cove, Daniel Zeig of Hearne, Nicholas Zeig of Coppell, Eric Sepolio of Houston, Steven Zeig of College Station, Scott Sepolio of Denton, and Philip Zeig of Tyler.
Tony loved life as few could. He began his music career starting at the age of 12 when he traded a pony for a fiddle. He was inducted into the Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame in 2003.
A tireless advocate of music, he taught music in schools all around Texas. His musical influence has been felt by thousands of kids over these 50 years in the profession.
A WWII Vet and one of the best examples of the greatest generation. He will be missed.
