Ward was born on January 15, 1946, in Washington, DC, to Ward E. Cory, Sr. and Dorothy O’Malley Cory.
Ward attended the University of Kansas, served in the USAF 1968-1976, and was a general contractor in the Kansas City area. He was a member of the NRA and a lifelong supporter and avid fan of the KU Jayhawks, the KC Royals, and the Chiefs.
He is survived by sisters Cynthia Cory (Jeff) Roy, Los Angeles, CA; Melanie Long, Lee’s Summit, MO; and Susan (Greg) Poskin, Kansas City, MO; brother Stuart (Teena) Cory, Memphis, TN. He was preceded in death by brother Stephen (Anne) Cory and sister Carolyn (Marty) Schroering, both of Olathe, KS.
Services will be held privately at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
