Victor A. Kauzlarich passed away at home on May 4, 2021. He was born June 18, 1945 in San Diego, California to Victor and Josephine Kauzlarich. He graduated from Rockhurst High School and Central Missouri State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He began his career as a member of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department in September of 1968 and retired as a Major in December of 1997 after thirty years of service.
Victor was an Eagle Scout, the President of the Friends of the KC Mounted Patrol, an avid fisherman, and was a founding member of the annual trout trip with family and friends at Lake Taneycomo. He also enjoyed a yearly fishing trip in Northern Minnesota.
Victor was preceded in death by his wife, Constance J. Kauzlarich; his parents, Victor & Josephine Kauzlarich; his brother, Chris Kauzlarich and a nephew, Joseph “Nick” Kauzlarich. Victor is survived by his brother, Michael (Connie) Kauzlarich of Blue Springs, MO; sister, Kathryn (Jim) Lawson of Kansas City and sister-in-law, Francile Kauzlarich of Independence, MO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews whom he adored.
Visitation will be held from 9:00am-10:00 am Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at the McGilley & Sheil Funeral home located at 11924 E. 47th Street, Kansas City, MO 64133. Services will be held at the same location at 10am. Burial will immediately follow the memorial service at Swan Lake Memorial Park, 30000 Valor Drive, Grain Valley, MO 64029 at approximately 12pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kansas City Hospice or The Kansas City Missouri Police Department Care Team.
