Velma Love (Cobb) Round, 91, of Lake Waukomis, MO passed away July 9th, 2013 at NorthCare Hospice. Visitation will be 6 to 8pm, Friday, July 12th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Chapel. Her funeral service will be 10am, Saturday, July 13th at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Chapel with burial to follow at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Cemetery, located at 801 NW 108th Street, KCMO 64155.
Velma was born in West Plains, MO. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and wife. She was born December 3, 1921 to Henry Clay “Kay” Cobb of Morsetown, TN and Hattie Eugene Nicholas of Marquand, MO. Velma was employed at Katz and Skaggs Drug Co of NKC, MO for 23 years. After she high school, she completed one year of teacher’s training at Bolivar Baptist College and married Wayman Lattie Womack, September 9, 1939 who preceded her in death on January 1, 1980. She married Harry Round of St. Joseph, MO on March 18, 1988.
She is preceded in death by husband, Wayman L. Womack.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Round; 3 sons, Larry and Nancy Womack of KCMO, Steve and Judy Womack of Concordia, KS, Gary and Linda Womack of Leavenworth, KS and daughter, Carolyn and Jack Bringus of Gladstone, MO; Harry’s children, April and Jack Wicker, Cecile Baxter, Colleen and Lonnie Hardy; 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; one brother, Bobby Cobb of Pittsburg, MO and numerous nieces and nephews.
