Velma L. McClure, 92, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away April 7, 2011 at the Good Samaritan Center Nursing Home. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road. Interment in Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship of John at Foxwood Springs, 1500 Foxwood Drive, Raymore, Missouri 64083. Mrs. McClure was born August 1, 1918 in Galesburg, Kansas, daughter of Clarence G. and Goldie E. (Baxter) Moore. She was a member of the North Side Christian Church in Omaha and the Raymore Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford W. McClure. Mrs. McClure is survived by her son Clifford E. McClure and wife Beatrice of Runge, Texas; daughter Arlene Watkins and husband Jim of Overland Park, Kansas; two granddaughters, two grandsons, and six great-grandchildren.
