Thomas Michael "Joe" Walsh

Thomas Michael “Joe” Walsh, III, was born November 2, 1951 and died on July 8, 2013. Mike fought a brief and courageous battle with esophageal cancer, and kept his humor until the end. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 12th, 10:00 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church, 8510 Wornall Road, Kansas City, MO. Private Burial.

Mike the oldest of eight children was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. He graduated from De La Salle High School in 1970 and remained a Titan for life. Mike was in the service industry for most of his adult life working in many bars and restaurants including the family business Walsh’s Corner Cocktails. Mike loved golf, baseball, old movies, throwing darts, lake trips and spending time with family and friends. Mike will be remembered as a loyal steadfast brother and friend.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lucille ”Lucy” Cravens Walsh, his father, Thomas Michael Walsh, Jr., infant brother Matthew, and brother-in-law, Drew Atkin. He is survived by his seven siblings; three sisters and guardian angels, Cathleen (Max) Ralston, Erin (Kevin) Shannon, Molly Atkin and four brothers, Patrick (Janet) Walsh, Terrence J. Walsh, Mark D. (Janet) Walsh, Kevin C. Walsh, 16 nieces and nephews and his Aunts, Barbara Cravens Adams, Mary Ann Walsh Euston and Ellen Walsh Maxwell and their families.

Mike, we will miss you greatly.
